2026 Trailcrew season is upon us! We have already visited several miles of High Peaks trails where we cleared blowdown and drainages. This winter was rough on trails and made us work hard, and we still have some exciting work ahead of us! The Trail Crew of the 46ers evolved from a few dedicated people in the ’70s to a very significant and technically adept contributor to the trails we love. If you’re curious about the work we do, consider joining us to learn new skills, meet new friends, and tackle new challenges. We assure you nothing you face during trail work will be any more challenging than what you’ve already encountered during your quest to become a 46er! So don’t be shy. Venture out of your comfort zone and join us on one of the many outings we have scheduled for 2025. We don’t ask anyone to do anything more than they are capable of. Everyone contributes. The schedule, sign-up info and most everything you need to know is at https://adk46er.org/trail-crew/ We even have two three-day events this year complete with a shared meal on Saturday night provided by the 46ers. You’ll undoubtedly feel a new sense of pride the next time you hike, knowing that you and your fellow 46ers play such an important role in improving the trails of the Adirondacks that we love so much. Here’s hoping to see you on our trail crew this year!
